Our goal is to promote
contemporary French and Belgian artists around the world and to initiate you to the
discovery of art.
We expose works of art such as
paintings (oils on canvas, or paper, acrylic on canvas or paper), watercolors,
pastels, red chalk, wash drawings, drawings charcoals, gouaches, lithographs,
mixed-technique paintings, in all themes, marines, nudes, landscapes,
portraits, still life. We also present sculptures, bronzes, ceramics,
terracotta.
We do copies of masters on request as well as frescos.
What are the advantages of our Gallery ?
If you are looking for a specific painting :
Basically in the
Web Galleries, you can consult either by selecting the name of the artist, or
the theme of your choice, the dominant color of the painting, its size or its
price range which means searching with just one criterion in mind.
Multicriteria searching can help you save time.
Select a maximum of 4 criteria from the 6
listed (themes, techniques, name of the painter, dominant color of the
painting, size, budget).
Click on a criterion and
choose "add a
criterion" to
validate each choice. Once you have selected 4
criteria, you can launch your search.
Each
search comes up with a solution.
The
number of paintings meeting each criterion is indicated in the menu.
Artop
presents the widest possible range of choice in
techniques and paintings.
Search by name of the artist:
Click
on the name of the artist in the menu and click on "add a criterion"
to validate your choice.
If
you click on the artist’s name which is underlined underneath the painting, you will discover his artistic
background and sometimes a general commentary on the painter or information
concerning his technique.
Clicking anywhere in the painting allows you to obtain details. The zoom lets you admire the artist’s technique.

Paintings which have received an award : Paintings having received an
award from the jury of a city, region, or association, a Ministry or
Foundation, this is your guarantee of true value.

Our favorites or our team’s choice.
Each
painting is sold along with its certificate of authenticity signed by the
painter.
Warning
: in order to protect the artist from illegal copying and reduce downloading
time to an acceptably short time, while at the same time showing the paintings
on the entire screen, the files are highly compressed. This compression does
not always allow the representations of the paintings to reveal the beauty and
richness of the original paintings.

It is also possible to offer a painting as a gift. The
delivery address can be different from the payment address.

Payment is made by bank card and processed by our secured server (SSL) ATOS.
The
order is accepted once the delivery address and your bank card references have
been recorded. Your bank card references are checked for the purchasing order
(approximately 5 days).

products are delivered within 2 weeks following your order except in the case
of a special order for a copy, in which case 3 months are required.
The
copies presented on the site are available within 2 weeks.
The
paintings are sold, packaging, insurance and transportation
costs included.

The painting is delivered to your home by Chronopost. You are free to
cancel your order during the 14-day period following
delivery (Artop is submitted to
the regulations concerning mail-order Sales).

You
can follow the progression of your package
thanks to a file number which will be given to you by e-mail.

The person in charge of the gallery will come to your home to present the paintings to you anywhere in France,
Belgium, Luxembourg for purchases amounting to a sum over 8000 French Francs or
$ 1000 (a maximum selection of 10 paintings on the site).
§
If you prefer to see the paintings elsewhere than in your home because
you don’t know us, we will arrange to meet you in a hotel
near your home.
§
If you come to see them in our office (reception
with an appointment) you will be offered champagne.
§
If you are a foreign visitor stopping off in Paris,
come see the paintings you have selected in a well-known Parisian hotel. We
will offer you champagne.
Artop
was created in Roubaix, through the initiative of Danie and Bruno Lefévère in
late 1998. The Artop team is composed of
voluntary painters and connoisseurs of Art who are united by their passion for
contemporary art.
